All things have their stage of maturity. In the life of a tree the stage of maturity is the time of its giving fruit. In the collective life of humanity our maturity is the realization of the oneness of mankind and a global divine civilization.

This talk about the Intellectual Life of the Bahá’í community is very helpful. In trying to understand the flow of ideas I broke it up into sections.

‘Abdu’l‑Bahá said “The instruction of these children is even as the work of a loving gardener…” and “These children are the plants of” God’s orchard. Just like with the avocado saplings we educate and train them in hopes of the day they give wonderful fruit for mankind.
